AWS will be delivering a presentation at "Global BPO Seminar - Business Process Innovation with Global Resources" organized by Mitsubishi Corporation and KPMG Business Assurance Co., Ltd. on May 13, 2008 at Royal Park Hotel in Tokyo, Japan. For the 6th straight year, Advanced World Systems, Inc. (AWS) emerged as a winner during the “e-Services Philippines 2008 (ESP) Awards” contest held on February 11-12, 2008, at the SMX Convention Center in Manila. The “ATM Systems Development Project for a Major Bank in Japan” of AWS emerged as the Winner for the “Outstanding Client Application of the Year” category under the Software Development & Maintenance Sector. AWS other entry, Test Management System (TEMS), also made it as one of the finalists in the same category.
For 2 years now, AWS has been a partner of IBM Japan in providing ATM software development services to major and regional banks in Japan. Initial development involved 365 Days Operation support, Enet network support, Time Deposit extension support and IC Card support. Because of the success of the initial development, IBM Japan outsourced to AWS the development and function update of the ATM Systems of 3 other regional banks in Japan. And as a manifestation of customer satisfaction, 9 other regional banks are also in the pipeline to be done by AWS. |

AWS was featured on the October 29, 2007 issue of Nikkei Computer Magazine in an article titled "Philippines: Emerging Offshore Destination - Targeting international systems development projects from Japanese companies with global operations - ". While the article mentioned that companies such as Accenture, IBM and Fujitsu are expanding their development centers / delivery centers in the Philippines, it introduced AWS as one of the leading Japanese IT companies based in the Philippines. |

Upholding its continuing support and commitment in promoting the PhilNITS certification in the Philippines, AWS has again shown it’s prowess in the first ever PhilNITS-SW Regular Exam by dominating the roster of passers of the exam held on April 1, 2007. The PhilNITS-SW exam has a wider scope and focuses on the next level of knowledge and skills needed to become a globally competitive IT engineer.
Together with the utmost support and inspiration coming from the top management, and with the Company’s desire to showcase the Filipinos’ competitiveness in IT, AWS has once again topped the first PhilNITS-SW regular exam with a passing average of 85%. By producing 11 out of the total 13 passers nationwide, AWS is currently the only single organization in the Philippines that contributed to the high passing average of 65% (13 passers out of 20 examinees) for the country. |
